Come and discover Snowdonia’s cultural heritage in the company of Tomos Jones, Snowdonia National Park Archaeologist on the 24th of May!

10am – Tomen y Mur, Gellilydan

A leisurely 2 mile walk

A pleasant low level walk around the Roman site of Tomen y Mur, which overlooks stunning views of Snowdonia. Come along to discover the site’s historic connections, from the Romans, to the Normans and the Mabinogi!

2pm – Caer-gai, Llanuwchllyn

A leisurely 2 mile walk

The second Roman fort of the day, this time on the shores of the river Dee! Caer-gai is also associated with Arthurian legend, as well as being the C17 home of the poet and colourful royalist, Roland Vaughan!

Remember to wear sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing.
