Snowdonia Walking Club
26 April 2018
Last Week the Eryri Walking Club ventured around Cwm Idwal in the wind and rain.
But the sunshine soon made an appearance. This time a crew of ESOL students from Coleg Menai (English as second language students) joined us which included a family of Syrian refugees. It was a joy to hear Khaled practising Welsh phrases that Guto Roberts, Cwm Idwal Partnership Officer had taught him.
We were also fortunate to have the company and local knowledge of the Snowdon Warden and the National Trust's Seasonal Wardens.
The Eryri Walking Club is aimed towards people with visual impairments and we carry out a guided walk on the third Wednesday of every month. For more information contact Carys Dafydd, SNPA Community Officer.
