The course will take you to some of the most beautiful places and will cover all aspects of fly-fishing from small still waters, large reservoirs and river fishing for wild brown trout and grayling. All of this and the picturesque mountains of Snowdonia ensure the participant will go home with memories that will last a lifetime.
Snowdonia and the beautiful scenery of North Wales is an ideal location for this unique fishing course. Aimed at all standards of anglers and with World Fly Casting Champion, Hywel Morgan and Trevor Jones, Welsh International Angler as tutors it looks set to be an enjoyable and educational week.
The course will cover a variety of topics ranging from small water fishing to rivers and large reservoir boat fishing. Learning the delicate art of fly tying will also be covered and at the end of the course, hopefully trout will be caught with the flies tied.

The first day will be spent at a well stocked small fishery which will enable casting and fishing techniques to be covered and hopefully for a few fish to be caught.
We will be fishing a very wild fishery near the slate quarries of Blaenau Ffestiniog. This is a fantastic wild brown fishery and it is like stepping back in time and sampling the fishing of bygone years.
Boat fishing has over the past ten years become very popular and is a wonderful relaxed way of fishing. The day will be spent teaching all the techniques needed to tackle a large reservoir.
The river Dee has become a Mecca for grayling fishing since the world fly-fishing championships were held there in the early '90's. We will be looking at all river tactics and fishing wet and dry flies and the ever popular technique of Chez nymphing. (River level permitting).
After last year’s successful trip to the River Dee, once again we will be returning to this wonderful river to finish the course off in style.
During the evenings there will be lectures covering the following topics: Fly tying, Fly casting, fishing small and large lakes, modern river tactics including the rolling nymph, upstream nymphing and New Zealand Style Fishing.
