Ogwen Snack Bar located in the middle of the Ogwen building can provide you with a range of drinks, snacks, pasties, paninis and locally baked cakes.

Our interpretation room, which has numerous films on display as well as touch screens and a 3D model of Ogwen is situated on the left side of the building. It's a great place to learn more about the area in terms of history and conservation.

Also at the Ogwen building is the Cwm Idwal Partnership Officer's Headquarters, the SNPA wardens also work from here on occasions. However, due to the nature of warden work, we cannot guarantee that there will be presence here at all times during core hours.

Snowdon Sherpa Bus Service

Limited numbers of Snowdon Sherpa buses pass Ogwen, remember to make a note of the timetable

before your visit.

Ogwen Cottage

Ogwen Cottage has long been familiar to climbers, ramblers and general visitors to Ogwen for many years. The National Trust bought the property back in 2014 and the Glyderau and Carneddau wardens are based here.

The Outward Bound Trust also has a centre here which they use as a great location for challenging and adventurous outdoor learning courses for children and young adults.
