Enjoying Snowdonia

"Promote opportunities for the enjoyment of the special qualities of National Parks by the public"

The Snowdonia National Park attracts thousands of visitors every year. There is plenty to see and do in Snowdonia and there’s a wealth of leisure opportunities for visitors and local residents alike. During the busy summer months, visitors help to sustain the hotels, cafes, shops and attractions within the National Park whilst local residents provide much needed support during the quieter winter months.

Visiting an area such as Snowdonia can provide the urban population with an opportunity to see what life is like in rural areas. It also gives townsfolk the chance to get close to nature, something that’s rarely possible in big towns or cities.

Even though the small towns and villages within the Snowdonia National Park benefit immensely from the yearly influx of visitors, their mark on the area isn’t always positive and can cause some problems.
