Mountain Safety Reminder
28 February 2018
What better time to remind the public of demonstrating safe practices out on the Snowdonia mountains.
The 'Beast from the East' has hit large parts of the UK and Snowdonia is no exception, it's always vital to plan ahead when venturing out in Snowdonia but is more important than ever due to these adverse weather conditions.
Snowdonia wardens Carwyn ap Myrddin, Rhys W. Roberts and Myfyr Tomos along with support from a contractor, Anne Vowles, provide essential information online through the MetOffice and the SNPA website, ‘Ground Conditions’. The information is widely spread on a variety of platforms.
Our staff thrive to make sure visitors and local walkers alike have plenty of information available before making an informed decision of which route to take, how much time to spend and what kit or equipment to use.
This work is in partnership with MetOffice and Mountain Safe.
For more information be sure to follow them to stay safe in Snowdonia.
