The first ever pan-Wales workshop on tourism ambassador schemes will be held next week. The workshop is a collaboration between Snowdonia National Park Authority and the Next Tourism Generation Project and will highlight the benefits of ambassador schemes. This free event - Tourism Ambassadors for Wales: Best Practice and Lessons Learnt – will take place on June 20th at the Imperial Hotel in Llandudno. Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism, will welcome participating businesses, trade associations and destination managers.

This March, 300 years had passed since the first firing of the former blast furnace at Dolgun near Dolgellau. As part of an arranged programme of events to mark the occasion the Snowdonia National Park Authority will hold an open day which will give local residents an opportunity to learn more about this remarkable site.

This weekend a new exhibition developed as part of the “Cyfoeth ein Corsydd” peatland heritage project will be opened at Yr Ysgwrn, Trawsfynydd. The exhibition celebrates and raises awareness of Meirionnydd’s extraordinary peatland heritage.
