Europa Nostra Awards – Yr Ysgwrn needs you!
24 May 2019
This week we had the absolute privilege in winning in the Conservation category in the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2019.
What does this mean? It means, out of 16 countries across Europe, judges chose Yr Ysgwrn, a small farmhouse in the heart of Snowdonia to stand alongside grand heritage projects like Cappella della Sacra Sindone [Chapel of the Holy Shroud] in Italy and Château de Montreuil-Bellay in France. All the careful and considerate work is once more being recognized and not only are we continuing to share Hedd Wyn’s story, his family’s and community, we are reaching audiences we never thought possible. We’re also going a long way to highlighting the importance of conservation work in cultural heritage.
We do have room for one more however, and this is where we need your help. You the public can now choose your favorite heritage site amongst those nominated, go to https://vote.europanostra.org
