The Snowdonia National Park Recreation Strategy has been prepared by the National Park Authority and aims to encourage sustainable recreation use of Snowdonia, whilst protecting and enhancing its special qualities. However, it is a strategy for all those involved in recreation development and management and also takes due regard of the Authority’s socio-economic duty.
The Strategy aims to establish the context for recreation management by respecting Snowdonia’s Special Qualities and ensuring their appropriate management for future generations to enjoy and appreciate. It proposes a series of 9 Aims underpinned by 60 Strategic Actions. These aims and actions can only be delivered in partnership with other organisations and individuals. By doing so, we hope that Snowdonia will continue to be synonymous with a wide breadth of world-class recreation opportunities and promote opportunities to a wider range of people who live and visit the National Park.
