Local Development Plan - Revision
The National Park Authority is required to review the Eryri Local Development Plan (LDP) at 4 yearly intervals. The Snowdonia National Park Authority concluded that the Eryri LDP should be subject to a Short Form Revision. Briefly, this means that amendments are only proposed to certain parts of the LDP (with the rest of the LDP remaining as the current version).
The revised Eryri Local Development Plan (2016-2031) was adopted by Snowdonia National Park Authority on the 6th of February, 2019. To view the Authority’s adopted Eryri Local Development Plan (2016-2031), please click here. The pages below are no longer current and are for reference purposes only.

In July 2016, the Authority prepared and agreed a Delivery Agreement with the Welsh Government. The Delivery Agreement along with the Community Involvement Scheme sets out how the Authority will involve the local community and other stakeholders in revising the Eryri Local Development Plan.
A full review of the Eryri Local Development Plan is required every four years. The Authority consulted with relevant stakeholders on a discussion paper followed by a draft Review Report during 2016. Following a formal consultation with Specific and General Consultees, a finalised Review Report was published which concluded that a short form revision would be the most appropriate method of moving forward.
Call for Sites
As part of information gathering for the revision, the Authority invited developers, land owners, Community Councils, members of the public and any other interested parties to submit potential sites to be considered for development through the Plan. A call for candidate sites consultation was opened on the 9th September 2016, remaining open until 4th November 2016. *THE CANDIDATE SITE REGISTER IS ONLY A REGISTER OF THE SITES SUBMITTED TO THE AUTHORITY BY DEVELOPERS, LANDOWNERS, COMMUNITY COUNCILS AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC FOR CONSIDERATION DURING PLAN PREPARATION.
