NEW! Hillforts and Welsh Castles Weekend

Walking in the foothills of Snowdonia discovering the hillforts and castles of the Welsh Princes. Led by Catrin Roberts participants will hear some of the history and folklore of the castles and hillforts of the area. Visit castles built by warring princes during the 13th century, an Iron Age Celtic fort and the Roman period. We will consider why these strategic areas were chosen for construction and how they came to an end.
Some of the walks will be wet underfoot and there will be some steep sections. Remember to bring plenty of warm waterproof clothing, walking boots, rucksack and a thermos flask.
