Working on paper and canvas and by combining paint, craft papers, tissue papers, inks, acrylics, textured materials and organic materials, interesting and exciting results can be achieved. Landscapes, flowers and still life are subjects that will be covered. Composition, planning tone & colour, painting skills and techniques are all areas that will be demonstrated and practiced throughout this extended weekend course. Come and explore with me this exciting and surprising way of creating textural and interesting artwork.
- Sketch book
- Watercolour paints
- Watercolour brushes
- Watercolour paper – 200lb not rough surfaces
- Canvases if you prefer
- Drawing board
- Drawing equipment
- Masking tape, masking fluid
- PVA glue and an old brush
- Acrylic inks, sepia and blue (you can bring other colours)
We will be using a wide variety of handmade papers, tissue papers, craft papers and textured materials. Bring what you have got. Jane will have a wide selection for sale and canvases.

19.30 Introductions, demonstration of landscapes, composition and planning.
Saturday & Sunday
09.15 Demonstrations and individual work, with one to one tuition throughout the course. We will be experimenting with a variety of media concentrating on landscapes and flowers.
