What is a Tramper - the Tramper is a specially designed, all-terrain mobility scooter, which can be used off road and even on rough ground, mud and grass. It is very robust, with light, accurate steering and tailored suspension, making it easy to handle and comfortable to ride on. It enables people who have a mobility impairment to experience the countryside; and to accompany friends and family when out walking.

Hiring the Tramper – The Tramper is available for use to anyone who has difficulty walking because of a mobility impairment. Before you use a Tramper you will need to come for an induction in how to use this vehicle, including a safety briefing and importantly a test drive with a member of staff. This is so you feel safe and confident using the Tramper before you take it out for a ride yourself.
We do ask that you pre-book the Tramper at least 4 weeks in advance. This will enable us to organise for the Tramper to be delivered and collected on the same day from the start/finish of any accessible routes within the National Park. Kindly note that unfortunately it is not possibly to provide the Tramper for successive days for the same user.
Currently we provide this service free of charge to users.
